Pentel Orenz Nero Mechanical Pencil - 0.2 mm
Available for &
Pentel Orenz Nero Mechanical Pencil is the high-end version of the popular Pentel Orenz range. The name Nero is Italian for "black". It is as sleek and black as its name suggests with the body and grip a single piece resin and metal composite.
The Orenz mechanical pencil features an unbelievably thin 0.2 mm lead. Its lead size may be fine, but there is no compromise on its stability. On the contrary, thanks to the advanced Orenz mechanism, the lead doesn’t break during writing. The lead is protected by its retractable guide pipe which will not let the lead extend out of the guide pipe too far. This significantly reduces the risk of breaking leads. There is no need to worry about the guide pipe scratching of the paper due to its rounded edge design.
There is also no reason to keep stopping and clicking the lead advance button. The lead advances automatically as you lift the tip from the page. The guide pipe will also become shorter as you write, thereby maintaining an optimal tip length. The guide pipe can be retracted once you've finished using the pencil.
- 0.2 mm super thin lead size is perfect for writing small print or drawing fine detail.
- The unique metal and plastic resin blend give the pencil weight and durability.
- Innovative Orenz mechanism prevents the lead from breaking, so no more broken lead dust.
- The rounded edge design of the guide pipe avoids scratching the paper.
- Retractable guide pipe makes it safe to carry around.

This pencil was (past tense) truly fantastic to use, the balance and weight and feel were simply exquisite...best I've ever felt, including Rotring 600. Unfortunately the mechanism jammed after the first lead was used up and refused to feed any more lead through the clutch. Spent hours and hours, days and days trying to fix ....eventually gave up and donated the mechanism to my scientific research...so sad. Money down the drain.
This is a nice mechanical pencil. Fantastic weight to it (essential) which is why I’d still go to this over the cheaper version and I’m not sure if other companies make such fine leads but BUT this pen is fussy SO FUSSY and it’s already jammed on me a few times within the month I’ve used it but I’ve used it a lot. Maybe for writing it won’t be a problem but idk why you’d use this for writing. So yeah I can’t give it a great rating for that reason but if you want fine detail I’d still buy it, seems the body itself will last as long as I use it I just have to be careful. Make sure to only have one lead at a time too. I’d give it a 5 considering what I can do with it but if you have little patience just stick to any 0.3 instead lol because it literally took me about 3 hours to unjam the tip last time.
