Irojiten means colour encyclopedia or colour dictionary in Japanese. The Tombow Irojiten Color Dictionary was conceptualised to bring to mind an encyclopedia of colour. The packaging is crafted to resemble bound books. Volume 4, 5, and 6 are designed to evoke the atmosphere of the Woodlands.
The high quality of the packaging concept reflects the quality of the contents. The pencils’ bodies are a lustrous off-white with rounded coloured ends that match the lead colour. Created for professional artists, the leads are wax-based and produce a soft, creamy texture. The colours blend smoothly and layer well, without a waxy build-up.
Volume 4, Pale Tone contains Rose Pink, Apricot, Gamboge, Straw Yellow, Spring Green, Mint Green, Turquoise, Celeste Blue, Hyacinth Blue, and Crocus.
Volume 5, Deep Tone comprises Plum, Maroon, Terra Cotta, Bamboo, Mustard, Moss Green, Cactus Green, Spruce, Teal Blue, and Indigo.
Volume 6, Light Grayish Tone, consists of Fawn, Cork, Sallow, Wax Yellow, Willow, Mist Green, Quartz Green, Porcelain Blue, Campanula Blue, and Sea Fog.

Beautifully presented and nice quality. These are a harder pencil than I was used to using but I've grown to love them more than my prismacolors very quickly.
