The Dr. Grip Ace Shaker pencil features a well-balanced construction and an ergonomic grip made of firm, comfortable rubber. This pencil applies an "active suspension" mechanism for its tip. This innovation reduces the initial contact jolt of the tip touching the paper by 50% compared to other mechanical pencils. In the meantime, it enables the lead to recede slightly into the tip to prevent breakage under excessive pressure.
The lead can be extended simply by shaking the pencil up and down, like other Dr.Grip mechanical pencils. The pencil's barrel also features transparent windows that reveal an orange alert indicator when the pencil is down to its last lead and requires a refill.
