Sakura Pigma Micron Fineliner Pens
Sakura Pigma Micron finerliner pens are the most popular drawing tools among artists and crafters as of its precision and performance. The water-based pigment ink features deep, smooth ink. Thanks to the pigment molecules inside the ink, it is water-resistant, lightfast, fast-drying and prevent bleed-through. Ideal for bullet journaling, crafting and drawing such as illustration, graphic design, and architecture drafting. As of its archival quality, it is recommended using with brush pens, and watercolours.
The first pigment ink fineliner in history
First introduced in 1982, Sakura Pigma Micron finerliners were launched as the alternative for dye-based ink drawing tools. In the eighties, Sakura found the need of pigment-based ink as dye-based ink is not water-resistant, archival-quality. It is also easy to cause bleedthrough on paper. The pigment-based ink can evenly distribute across paper rather than bleeding through. The complicity of pigment molecules prevents them from chemical degradation and fading caused by UV rays.
Nylon tip combines with metal needle guard
Compared with other fineliner pens, the nylon tip of Sakura Pigma Micron pen is longer and comes in a metal needle guard. This design offers its precision when outlining in fine lines. It also improves its stability when drawing and writing.
