The new Yurameku fountain pen ink by Sailor is a mysterious ink whose colour changes with the passage of time and the paper on which it is written.

Each ink has a unique colour that is inspired by the expressive sky that changes in a shimmering manner. It is a new ink that gives you a glimpse of different colours in shades and bleeding, and allows you to enjoy "shimmering" colour changes depending on the time and paper used. You can enjoy the shimmering colours not only with fountain pens, but also with dip pens and glass pens.

The Sailor Yurameku series ink includes 9 colours: Kitsune Biyori (Fickle Weather), Byakuya (White Night), Amamoyoi (About to Rain), Kyokuya (Polar Night), Itezora (Frozen Sky), Kyokkou (Aurora), Kangyou (Cold Dawn), Seki (Dusk) and Yoi (Evening).

Very nice ink that is smooth, the way the colour changes over time is very satisfying to watch. Sailor Yurameku Fountain Pen Ink - 20 ml Review

I love the colours, and how they change when using different paper and nibs. Amamoyoi is a mixture of greens and light browns and pinks. A very light ink to use with a Fine nib, but the shifting colours look great with a medium/broad nib. Sailor Yurameku Fountain Pen Ink - 20 ml Review

Well named “Frozen Sky”, it is a beautiful soft grey that still manages to stand out on the page.

In Kangyou the grey wins out in finer nibs

Kangyou/cold dawn So far I've played with a stave nib and a couple of finer fountain pens, and the base grey has the most variation of tone and sheen when used in greater volume. The 5 stave lines were fun, evidencing a hint of green and pink, but the (admittedly drier) fp nibs have shown a pretty flat grey, slightly darker (and perhaps bluer) than a regular graphite pencil. As mentioned, the paper counts a lot; the most sheening was on watercolour paper, the greyer was on copy-like grid and in a Midori notebook. I did also spill a bit on my hand, and the pink/red undertones were the ones to really stick, with some green, making a great bruise colour! It also adds weight to 'test the surface' argument to see how this one performs.

The most beautiful colour when the light catches it. Will change colour on different paper. LOVE it.
