The J.Herbin 1798 ink collection features richly coloured ink infused with sparkling metallic particles. It also features its iconic "1798 "wax seal on the front of the bottle and the engraved J. Herbin logo on the bottom of the bottle. The 1798 collection is named in honor of the year that the Herbin company's shop relocated to Rue des Fosses-Saint-Germain-l'Auxerrois in Paris.
The Carnelian of Egypt colour features a vivid orange colour infused with shimmering silver flecks. The ancient Egyptians believe that "Cornaline d'Egypte", the red-orange gemstones are the representative of life itself. They can restore courage, improve concentration, and calm the senses.
